CEREC or Ceramic Reconstruction is a method for creating tooth crowns and restorations using the CAD/CAM method to reconstruct an individual ceramic restoration in one appointment. Using our CEREC technology makes it possible to produce and integrate ceramic restorations in just one visit rather than over multiple trips to the dentist’s office. Save you time and money. Unlike some other materials such as amalgam and gold, ceramic is more compatible and looks physically more like a natural tooth. Being that CEREC uses digital impressions using an intraoral camera it is more comfortable than traditional impression casting.
Our CEREC technology charts the inside of the patient’s mouth accurately down to the last detail ensures that there is no issue with inaccurate dental impressions. This leads to better patient comfort unlike traditional impressions with molds and debris that can be left behind.
We use this 3D model to construct the tooth restoration on screen and then upload the finished files to our state-of-the art milling machine. The finished product (tooth restoration) is then milled out of a color matched ceramic block in about 15 minutes. Dr.Novak then adds the finishing touches to the restoration by polishing and glazing it before cementing it and finishing your restoration. This dental technology has proven through the years that a successful high quality tooth restoration process that is atheistically pleasing is truly a time saver. If you want to find out more about the CEREC technology or schedule an appointment with our dentist you will find links throughout our site. So if you need to find a dentist in Greensburg Pa give Novak Dentistry a call where new patients are welcome.
